Nyema Hermiston

Nyema Hermiston is a Registered Nurse, Naturopath, and Homeopath whose career spans more than three decades of clinical practice, academic study, and health writing. She trained in nursing in New Zealand before completing a Bachelor of Science with Honours from Middlesex University in London, a rigorous academic foundation that shaped the evidence-driven approach she brings to all of her work.

Her clinical journey has taken her through conventional nursing, to naturopathic practice, to a deep and ongoing engagement with homeopathic medicine. She has served as Past President of the Australian Homeopathic Association (NSW Branch) and as Past Executive Officer of the Australian Register of Homeopaths. She currently serves as President of The Aurum Project, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to advancing homeopathic research and making natural health resources accessible to families.

Nyema writes because she wants to share her findings that are not commonly known, and believes that people who need it deserve to have this information. Families deserve access to the research that impacts on their children's health. Research from academic journals doesn't always seem to reach the medical community, and therefore the people who need it most. It is rare to find complex health issues explained so clearly. Her books are a rare mix between scientific reports and practicality, for people who want to know what is available to them.

Her writing sits at the intersection of clinical science and practical compassion. She does not write to promote a particular modality. She writes to give people the most complete and honest picture of the evidence available, and to help them make informed decisions for their families.
